4th Annual High School Student Online Art
Competition at Purdue University
This competition seeks artworks in all media and subject matter. All high
school students residing in the United States (grades 9-12) are eligible to
enter. Cash prizes will be awarded for all grade levels.
DEADLINE: Friday, November 3rd, 2017
All high school students (grades 9 – 12) residing in the United States are
eligible to enter. Entries must be original works of art. All-media are
eligible: 2D (drawing, painting, printmaking, photography), 3D (sculpture,
ceramics, jewelry, textiles), and digital (video, coding, etc.). Up to four
works per student may be submitted.
Fabian Winkler, Associate Professor of Electronic and Time-Based Art at
Purdue; Min Kim Park, Assistant Professor of Photography at Purdue; Christine
Wuenschel, Associate Professor of Art at Purdue; Charles Gick, Professor of Art
All accepted works will be displayed online. An awards ceremony will be
held on Friday, December 1st, 5:30 – 7 pm, in the Rueff Galleries, Pao Hall.
The online exhibition will be displayed on the Rueff Galleries’ website by
Friday, December 1st, 2017. (cla.purdue.edu/rueffgalleries/HIGHSCHOOL)
Cash prizes will be awarded, including: 1st prize, 2nd prize, and 3rd prize.
Other prizes will be awarded at each grade level.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: Monday, November 10th, 2017
AWARDS CEREMONY: Friday, December 1st, 2017
